    Post-Format Data Recovery

I'm sure this issue has been addressed before, but I am in need of a concise answer. Today I reformatted my Laptop's HD, and did a full format, not quick. Prior to formatting, I spent hours transferring files to an external HD, which already had some of the data on it. I just now realized that many of the subfolders did not update their contents. I did not check closely enough before formatting. In other words, I lost nearly everything since June 11th, '07. This wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't have over 500 hours of work saved there, primarily in graphic art and photographs for my businesses.

Because this represents so much time, is there any way of recovering this data? If so, who would you recommend contacting to do so? Thanks so much for any help you can give.

Another plug for R-Studio. I've used it on drives that have been formatted multiple times, and it still manages to recover up to 90% of the files!

There was a freeware application I saw somewhere (might come up on this forum if you do a search <hint, hint - we have a search function > but I recall it wouldn't do exactly what I wanted, so I bought R-Studio instead. Never regretted it!!

    Cheers

You can give a try with Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery Software. This utility has a reputation of recovering data from formatted hard drive or data lost occur because of any situation like software malfunction, viruses, or even sabotage.
This utility powered by Raw File Recovery recognizes & recovers more than 300 file types including documents, spreadsheets, web content & images.
You can download the trial version of software from: http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm
The demo shows the preview of the recovered data, if you can see your data through demo than only go for the full version to save your data.

Hope it does help you out.

    Best of Luck
