problems with booting duel booting

I formated a XP Home laptop and installed XP pro but the boot screen still keep asking me do I want to boot to XP pro or Xp home problem is Xp Home is gone and the screen says windows cannot start cause of disk hardware configuration problem

You can remove the one that is not there anymore in the boot.ini file or simply Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
3. Under System Startup, click Edit. This opens the file in Notepad ready for editing.

From there remove only the line that is showing XP Home and save the file as it is, you won't see Home anymore.

And easier way to get there is right click on My Computer, go to Properties, click on Advanced and then Startup and Recovery.
