?? Best Software for file retrieval ???

Hi all,

1. I'm looking for software that can retrieve files from a drive that has not been "wiped" but rather only been "fast formatted".

2. OK, how about a reinstall of an OS? Can older files be recovered ?

Software that will:

1. Recover files on a drive that has only been fast formatted, and / or

2. Recover files on a drive that has had XP re-installed,

Spotmau Power Suite 2008 makes some claims ... but ... I'm not sure what to believe.

Suggestions or comments anyone?

I've been using File Scavenger for years...no problems reclaiming files.
