Alternative PC Format?
I am fixing a Laptop PC after it crashed & the HD took a major dump so I had to remove the boot partition & repartition it. But now when I try to format the HD it's taking days. I started last night & it's only at 10%, anyone ever run into anything like this & have any idea how I could speed things up? An alternative format program? I have used the DOS format & the one for Win-XP, I know the HD is not the best & probably dieing but I promised someone I would have it up & running for them buy Wednesday.
Thanks

If the HD is going bad, it is going to run slow. The only wy to fix that is by getting a new HD.
You already said once that teh HD took a dump.
