I've been trying to install this: Drivers and Downloads
When I try to execute the executable, a small black box comes up and then disappears. Nothing happens after that.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried it several times.
I'm using Vista.
The link was given to me by Dell support.

Same thing happens with the link you gave. Black box appears, then disappears, and nothing happens. |

Might help if you told us what you were doing. And what the file is for.
The small black box is a DOS window, primarily used when a file executes from a DOS prompt.
So whatever you tried installing, should be installed. Its just a matter of finding where the executed file went. |

It is to fix a problem with RAID showing up as broken, or some such, with these Samsung drives.
I did the same thing to fix it a couple of months ago, so I assume it didn't install properly. |

I'm guessing it hasn't fixed the problem, since it came back after a few weeks. |

No error message like "Your drive is not accessible"?

Under XP there is no DOS box. It comes up with a windows dialogue, then asks where to unzip files. If you aren't getting that far, then try using XP compatibility mode. |

I'm on Vista.
And I don't get a message. The black text box opens and appears to try to execute the file, then closes and does nothing. |
