Hi, my external drive which has a whole bunch of our files like pics and videos stopped working. I re-plug the wires into it and only a quick glow comes up and the power plug when touched goes off. If the product doesnt work anymore is their a way to safe my data in the drive?

However, it would be my suggestion to try a different USB cable and a different power cable (make sure that the AC adapter has the same voltage, and close to the same amperage, not to mention polarity).
