My Book Studio Does not work w/ Esata

I have a My Book Studio Edition 500gb with Esata, firewire, and USB. When connected with firewire or USB it works great, no errors at anytime. When I connect it to my Asus P5K-E wifi motherboard with its Esata port I get random disconnects and Windows Delayed Write Failures. Sometimes the computer will act like the drive is disconnected completely and I have to disconnect the power and turn it back on and hope that it connects (eventually it does after one or two tries). Any suggestions? I have my RAID controller on my motherboard updated along w/ the BIOS so there should be no hardware problems. Thanks guys.

My guess is that the eSATA cable is bad. It's happened to me.
