RAID 0 Results

Hello Folks,

Last weekend I got me 2x160GB SATA WD Caviar to try RAID 0 on my personal box. I have Asus P4S800D-X board which supports RAID 0,1.

Here is the results;

My old C: IDE


My BackUp Disk IDE


New RAID 0 C: SATA


I will use IDE 250GB as a backtup HDD, so the reason I wanted RAID 0 is performance.

Sweet. Ive got 2 segate 80 gig HDs in raid 0 too. Gets speeds comparable to yours

I love raid arrays. I'm running some Raptors in Raid 0, and they fly. I'll try to get HD Tune 2.55 like you have and post my results.

All on an Asus P5E X38 chipset. WD 74Gb Raptors RAID 0

Using the default settings upon installing HDTune 2.55


Using an 8Mb buffer and selecting the benchmark completely for accuracy.
