"insert disk into E:

I have a thumb drive. Transcend 32G

Now when I plug it in it says "insert disk into E:"

"E:" is my thumbdrive.

I use multiple computers
and mostly windows XP

Any suggestions?

one suggestion, could you be a bit more clear & specific as to the situation, all of what you typed is a bit vague at best as to what the problem is...

also little bits of info like What Operating system your running, web browsers (guessing that since you mentioned an address bar), etc etc...

It sounds like the Transcend just died. They do that - all of them eventually. They will not last forever. Flash drives all pretty much die after 10-20 thousand read/write cycles. You can get that many surprisingly quickly if you work from documents that are stored on them or play music from them.
