Multiple Hard Drive Use (Help Needed)!! - Tech Support Forums

I have two hard drives and I am not sure how to set them up in my desktop computer so i can use both of them. My main hard drive that has the operating system is an IDE drive and the second one which has nothing on it is Serial ATA drive. Please help

Leave the old IDE drive hooked up, then just plugin the new SATA drive and boot to windows. You'll need to format it to use it though, but you can do that in My Computer by right clicking on the new drive.

The Serial ATA drive doesnt show up in my computer

Go to My Computer > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. Click on Disk Management in the left pane. Your drives will appear in the right pane. There you format and initialize your new drive.
