I'm New & I need help.

Hi all,

Just joined so please be kind.

My problem is that I have a pc with windows xp pro installed on the 40g NTFS C drive. I also have a 80g Fat32 D drive. However after I tried to network my pc with my Mac OS X 10.4, which are both connected to the internet via a NetGear router/modem, I cannot see the D drive anymore.

When I tried networking the computers, I seem to recall that during the process I think that I may have created a domain setup. But I am not sure how to check this or how to undo what I have done.

Can anyone please help me on this. I am at a loss as to what I can do. Thank you.

Right-click My Computer and select Manage. Open Disk Management on the left and find the 80GB drive on the right. Right-click that drive and select Change drive letter. Try assigning an available letter of your choice.

Setting up a domain would not cause a drive to disappear. Neither would networking to another PC or Mac. Something else is wrong. If you want to find out if you set up a domain, look in System Properties > Computer Name.

Is this drive internal or external? I think that the drive just plain died.
