Hard drive showing only 2 gb of space after formating

My Hard drive showing only 2 gb of space after formating its a 30 gb hard drive?Thanx for any help.

How old is the PC you're using? What software are you using to format the drive?

PCs older than 8 years may be unable to recognize any more than 2GB due to BIOS limitations.

Windows NT is limited to 2GB partitions for the first setup. Once SP4 is installed, you can make larger partitions.
