Hehehe, I saw indeed, already changed.
We are using standard test btw, best way to have a good comparison
Funny to see, RamonGTP has a Caviar Black, the same as I have 2 of, and when you compare his single drive to my raid 0, it is almost exactly twice the performance. nice scaling

Well, here's three first generation WD 74GB Raptors running RAID 0. I'm using the Intel ICH9R controller. My Max is a little lower, but the Avg is higher than the two Blacks. It's also only a 90GB partition. Like my Burst Rate? Lovin the Volume Write-Back Cache enabled.
JLK03F150 200.8MB/s 192.9MB/s 3 x WD Raptor 74GB 10k rpm @ Raid 0

How low can you go?
WinXP, Samsung ATA100 60GB drive... can't remember if its a spin point or not...
don't remember all the specs on it, aside from its supposed to be PATA 100.
fragmented, hasn't been defragged for about 9+ months.
2.6MB minimal speed, this was with the benchmark set for Speed rather than accuracy, with it set at default accuracy setting though, it hit as low as 1.6MB

Stats have been updated again, JLK, your burst rate is just insane, did you do the test a few times to see if it stays that way??
Seems the 2 Blacks are pretty fast indeed if they can stay ahead of 3 raptors in raid, are yours the "old" ones or the newer revisions?? |

I wanna try out my old Quantam Bigfoot 6GB. Mind you I might just hook up to my ASUS P5VDMX SE. It had IDE controllers. Wonder if 1 GB and a 3 GHZ P4 is to fast and to much for windows 98. |

windows98 will crap out with more then 256MB ram, and those chipsets probably don't have win98 support anymore, nforce4 doesn't either, neither does nforce3 I think. |
