interesting. Shyguy's Segate 250gb drive seems to perform exactly the same as my WDC 250gb drive.

Benched the Segate 80gig drive on my other computer. I have another (older) Segate 80gig drive coming up in a bit

Here it is. I have no idea why I get such crappy speeds half the time. The drive likes to spend its time at 30mb/s when it can peak at 70+mb/s. However, its practically doing nothing (its not an OS drive, the other 80gig above is for the system, and there is nothing running off it). Puzzling.

Hmm. I hope SSD prices come down and force the Raptor prices to come down too. If Velioraptor prices come down I'll get 2 of 3 .
