Can i delete this

Hi guys. i want to delete a folder in my "local settings" and the folder is called "DNA" its 2 gigabytes in size and i need the space. is it ok to delete?

Some application you installed probably placed the folder there. Does the name DNA ring any bells?

on another note, the only folder inside it is called "cache" and it has 2 files. one is 1.5 gb and the other is 400 mb. what is the purpose of a cache?

The cache is a folder where an application stores things like history, save points, installation information, lists of recently used folders, stuff like that. They are perfectly safe to delete.
