| Want to know if i can save files/folders on my other hard drive for reformating
ok, so i have 2 250gb hd's and i want to save alot of files, well at least 100gb worth or so but i dont have an external hd. Im curious if i can save the files i want on my other hd that doesnt have windows installed, then reformat the one with windows and transfer the files from the storage one to the newly reformated one that had windows on it and then reformat the storage one?hope thats not confusing. but i bet it is. let me know if you need a better explanation lol. |

Yes. Hard drives are designed to store files
Would take you just two seconds to see if you can copy files to the second drive.

YOU tell the format program which hard drives you want to format. If you have 3 hard drives, for example, C:, D:, and E: and you tell the program to format D:, it will only format D:. Not C: and E: also. |

How were you planning on reformatting drive c: (the OS drive)?
What kind of files are you talking about moving from hard drive to hard drive?
Files you downloaded, or program files that you have installed? |

AND, when you go to Reinstall Winodws - make sure the second drive is NOT plugged in...Otherwise - your C drive might end up being a different letter. |
