can i update my laptop HDD & Ram

hi!!! friends i have my tosheba satellite A100 laptop win XP sp3 wih 100Gb HDD and 1GB ram but laptop going slow i want change my 100 Hdd from 250 HDD or more an also can i add 2 Gb ram more.

I belive you can im not sure on what parts youll need but i upgraded the ram from 1gig to 2 gig in my dell e1505 and i know i can replace the HD. Crucial.com can tell you waht kind of ram you need as for the HDD i think you need something like this.
