| Compaq nx9010 (need hard drive upgrade)
I have a friends computer that I am trying to give a few quick and inexpensive upgrades to. I am upgrading the hard drive (which is a Toshiba MK4021GAS, 4200 RPM 40GB 2.5" drive.
I want to upgrade this to a larger drive. Does anyone see any issues upgrading to an ATA-6, 5400RPM, 250 GB drive?
This drive: Newegg.com - Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD2500BEVE 250GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" ATA-6 Internal Notebook Hard Drive - Laptop Hard Drives
I am guessing that I can use and IDE or ATA drive in this laptop. It will just scale back to wehat ever the max suppotrted IDE speed is on the computer.
I also assume that I cannot use any SATA drives,... only IDE/ATA.
Thanks for any imput in advance!!
