SAS Raid issue

Thanks in advance for the assistance. I hope I provide enough information to troubleshoot my problem.
Here's the relevant parts in question:

Motherboard: ASUS P6T7 WS Supercomputer LGA 1366 Intel X58 CEB Intel Motherboard

CPU: Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz

Harddrives x 2: HITACHI Ultrastar 15K450 HUS154530VLS300 (0B23318) 300GB 15000 RPM 16MB Cache SAS 3Gb/s

So I want to set up the two 300GB SAS drives in a RAID 0 config and run it as the OS C: drive.
According to the motherboard manual you have to enable the Marvell SAS Raid in the BIOS and as you can see from this first photo I have done that.

The next step is to boot into the RAID BIOS setup utility by hitting <CTRL> + <M> on boot.
The manual states that it will NOT open the SAS RAID setup utility unless it detects two SAS drives plugged into the proper ports on the motherboard. As you can see by this next photo, it must be detecting the drives because it does enter the utility screen.

Here's where the problem arises. When I select "Adapter 1" to create the Array I get this screen.

I was also able to catch this screen that appears only for a second when first starting up.

I'm not sure how to proceed from this point. The drives are properly connected to the MB and powered. I can hear and if I touch, feel them spinning up.

There are no jumpers or settings directly on the drives themselves.

I haven't even attempted to install the OS yet because I'm downloading a copy of Win7 on the 22nd as soon as it's available.
I'm just hoping to have as much ready as possible for when the OS is here.

Thanks again. - Greg

The following was posted on another site and apparently fixed the problem:

Thanks Steve - I had posted the same issue on another forum and received a link to the very same post.
My problem is fixed...a few other minor ones have popped up. I'm out of town now for a few days but I'll be back to work out my problems later this week.
