Are there any cloning software that offers recovery records/redundancy/parity?
I might not be technically correct with some of the language but please bare with me.
I have been using Acronis True Image Home and recently one of my backups was corrupted. It is a 80+ gig image but I was unable to read any of it or even see what files were inside and I tried everything including chkdsk ect. The image used to be good and was on the same harddrive for months before I noticed it was bad recently when looking for a particular file that it might have contained.
I want to know if any of the cloning softwares offer something similar to WinRAR's recovery record where you can repair damaged files at the expense of a larger backup file.
It was just a shame because I only needed a 1 mb file out of the 80+gigs but I was unable to even open it and see if it was there at all. It seems like the larger your backup files the greater chance of corruption.
