    DVD DL

While copying from a TDK DVD DL to HD, I got:Cannot copy XXXXX : Data error (cyclic redundancy check).what does it mean? Is the disc bad? It's only 1 year old. Files copied fine on 2nd attempt. But should I not risk it and junk the discand burn files to another one, or was this a hardware issue?I do not verify burns anymore as I felt it was a waste of time.

if it copied fine on second attempt, it was probably a read error reading from the disc or something.

if your really concerned that their may be some corrupting of data from the disc, or some sort of physical abnormality that may be causing the error, then yeah, I'd maybe see about burning another copy and verify the data after the burn, just to be sure.
