2 x 1tb sata 3 raido vs SSD?
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB WD1002FAEX [WD1002FAEX] - $129.00 : PC Case Gear
2 of those in raid 0? Is raid 0 a bad choice because it can fail?
Corsair Nova V64 64GB SSD [CSSD-V64GB2-BRKT] - $239.00 : PC Case Gear
or this SSD
im from Aus so prices may look high
thanks

Yes Raid 0 can fail, but if you back up important data on a regular basis, or not running critical services (as in for customers or something, and this is for personal use), then its not that big a deal, just extra time in rebuilding the array, unless its a mechanical drive failure of course, if thats a concern then the SSD might be better.
other questions would be, do you NEED 2TB of space? if not, SSD then.
But you could go with 2 lesser sized drives for less as well. or heck, for the price, 3 or 4 lesser sized drives, and run RAID 5 or RAID 0+1. depending on how many drive connections you have available, and whether the motherboard chipset or drive controller card supports these levels of RAID.
More power consumption for 2 rotational drives than a single SSD, so thats another con against RAID on Rotational drives.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
