People,
Please help me
I need the best 40GB hard drives, only the best...I know you all going to tell me get WD 120GB, but i dont need so much storage. On my current system I have IBM two 20GB 60GXP Deskstar hard drives and I am very disaponted with performance. I really depend on you people. I need suggestions
Please inlucde model number of HD, so that i can find it. I am looking greatest and latest hard drives

Well, WD has an 80GB, 8MB cache version of their 120GB drive. Perhaps you'll fill that up in time. Plus, it'll probably long outlast it's warranty, so you won't have to upgrade for a while...

Ben, you didn't answer some questions from your original post: Are you using the 80 wire connectors and does your board support ATA100? If the answer to those two questions is no, then it won't matter what hard drive you get, they won't perform to their potential. |

Dude,
My sytem supports all the lastest IDE hard drives ata133, but i heard ata133 dont have any positive results, so i am willing to go with ata100 if it will perform better

Go to compusa before sunday, and get the 120 gigs 8 meg cache for 150$ it's retail and beats newegg's price. |
