western digital without a doubt!
and im pretty sure that quantum is the same as maxtor...... arent they?
And i dont think Hitachi makes desktop hard drives, im pretty sure they only make laptop hard drives.

seagate gets my vote, while they are not as easy to set up as wd's are, i have never had a prob with them and my new barracuda IV is so quite i can't hear it running ever |

Yes I have had experience with Samsung and I can't say I enjoyed it. I had a 6Gb Samsung drive that lasted 8 months, my sister had one last 11 months, and my Father had one last a year and a half. Those were my first builds, so I guess I can say live and learn. At least by the time I hed real customers I had decided that Samsung drives were not going to work out.
