Transferring files wirelessly between pc and dvd player
I want to play an avi file that is on my computer on my dvd player without burning it. DVD player and PC are not close to each other so I need something like briged a/a usb cable that can transfer files wirelessly. For example: two usb sticks or sth like that).
Where I can find it?Last edited by AW10; November 26th, 2010 at 05:14 AM.

Doesn't the DVD player need to have the ability to be connected wirelessly? Or to have anything plugged into it?

It has usb port. I can plug flash drive in it and play. But I want to play files from my computer by pluging sth in that port.

USB ports are nice...But it doesn't have the brain power to read a wireless USB device.

Will it work if I buy that a/a brided usb cable and merge it with enough regular a/a usb cable to reach dvd player.

How far apart are the two devices? If you're considering running a USB cable (as it appears to read above) then, AFAIK, the max distance between points is ~5 metres...any further and you'd need to have a powered hub..
Wouldn't you be better off with a more regular cable that you can connect between your computer and the telly - which is more realistically what you're aiming the signal at, not the DVD player....
I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

Your DVD most likely doesnt have the ability to play avi files in the first place. You will need to look into a media center device like the WD TV Live or a computer running XBMC, roku, or Boxee to accomplish what you want to do

I used to get some bad connection ALL the time. Turns out the problem was because I had a Netgear router and a D-LINK USB stick. I bought a D-LINK router and it works fantastic. Netgear sucks.
signal enhancer?
