External Hard drive not recognised
Hi everyone,
I've had a Seagate FreeAgentGo USB external harddrive (320GB) for about two years now, and I've never had a problem with it until today.
For whatever reason, it is suddnely not showing up in 'My Computer' or in Disk Management, although it is showing up as a device in 'Devices and Printers' on the Control Panel. It is also showing up under Device Manager, and it claims to be working, however I am unable to find, or use it. The Safely Remove Hardware option also recognises it, but will not let me eject it, saying it is in use with another program, despite the fact that there are not any other programs open, and the ones that do require it (iTunes etc) are not able to use it.
I have an Asus laptop with Windows 7. If anyone could help with this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Try plugging it into another computer if you can.
Imagine a world where dogs took bad owners to the pound...
