SATA 6.0Gb
Can I use a SATA 6.0Gb in a 3.0 slot?

you mean on a port/connector for 3Gb?
Yes. Some drives might have a Jumper to switch on them for running on 2nd Gen SATA. Others may be more "plug'n'play"
SATA, just like most Serial Data interfaces these days (USB, SATA, PCI Express) are backwards compatible for the most part with previous generations, with a few exceptions or conditions, but for most part are Backwards Compatible.
I'm sure there are some Motherboards out there, and 6Gb drives that might not play nice with each other, but in general it should work.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Your "backward compatibility" mileage may vary.
