| what is the best brand of RAM
I'm going to put either PC2100 or PC2700 DDR-SDRAM in a computer i'm building, what are some of the better brands of quality DDR-SDRAM? |

Samsung or Crucial is what I tend to go with. Corsair is good as well. |

All those listed above are great. I like Corsair for its blend of quality and price. |

My favorites are Crucial and Kingston. I have not had any problems with either.

Price is competitive with the other brands (all are very good) mentioned... Crucial, Kingston.
Newegg.com has decent prices, but you may be able to find better.

Crucial...best memory IMO, plus at a nice price. Also, if you support TechIMO by using the ad-link to their site. Recently, they had a $10 off coupon for 256mb PC2100 ram, which, if you have 2 different credit cards, you can do it twice on two different sticks. I don't know if they're still doing the promotion, but I got 512MB a few weeks ago for $80 total.
