Partitioning ? on external 1.5 TB Seagate drive
Is it normal to partition an external HDD? Just got a 1.5 TB Seagate GoFlex external desk drive. My main use plan is to use it as a media drive for network streaming movies to TV. Will have a lot of DVD concerts, movies, ISOs, pics, etc. Maybe some backup files as well.
i'm thinking 'no need' but thought I'd check first.
Thanks,
Bill*****
The final legacy of the United States will be that in the end liberalism shamed & destroyed the heritage of this great nation. How sad as I see no turning back. When in Rome ..

Sure. I did mine when I had to dump something I was afraid might mess up my backups.
Mine is a Seagate 1.5T.
I used partition magic. It's owned by someone else now, but it's the same old PM, and still free.Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!

Partitions are designed to help YOU find/organize Your files.
Imagine a world where dogs took bad owners to the pound...
