    RAID controller

I'm starting to think it's time to replace my PNY S-Cure (long-gone Netcell SPU) raid card. It doesn't always come online when I boot my computer.

What I like about it is it's low CPU usage when it's on, and I can't find a definitive list of RAID controllers that are pure hardware.

What I would like to do is buy another Netcell 5 port sata raid card to have on hand, but I can't find one, so any ideas are welcome.

    What I have now:

3 1Tb WD Green drives in a RAID 3 array and an SSD swap file disk on it. It resides in a normal PCI slot, and that's not negotiable.

    Thanks for your time.

Does it have to be Netcell? Newegg has a lot of them.

Firstly, I would suggest that you DO NOT go with RAID 3 in future, as you're more than likely gonna wear out the parity disk before the other [data] drives... An array using RAID 5 would give the same redundancy, but with a much better wear rate..

I was going to have a look at some of the ones I saw on Google's "Shopping" pages or on NewEgg, but I don't know where you are or the budget you're looking at....
I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...
Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

My only real contraints are pci slot and pure hardware.
