    Hard Drive Capacity

     
    I have a seagate 500GB hard drive and i was in properties for C\ drive and noticed it showed only to be 372GB capacity and actually it shows 399,981,408,256Bytes. I have 77.1 gig loaded on hard drive and said i have 295GB free space...im running windows 7 64 bit.. what gives.

    Is the drive partitioned for the full 465Gbs or so that would be the actual size? any hidden partitions like a recovery drive? JP recommends this tool often

    Yes its suppose to be for the full 465 Gbs drive partition and no hidden partitions. Thanks i'll try that.

    Nevermind..my bad..i had another senior moment again it's only a 400GB hard drive i just pulled the cover and looked..thanks Rich... that is a cool program though tells you pretty much everything on the hard drive.

    Ahh those senior moments You can thank JP for that app I have yet to try it out but I know he recommends it fairly often.
