USB verbatim, all files deleted!?!?
Ok, so I did some really good effort and almost died doing some IB projects, and when I'm nearly done, what happens? Suddenly my pen drive (store n go, 16 GB, of verbatim) isn't recognized! Sometimes, the one drive doesn't even appear to be connected to the computer, sometimes it does appear as not recognized, sometimes it appears as connected, but without a bit of memory and sometimes it appears with memory and some used, but every time I open it, there are no files! Really, I must rescue my files for my international exams! I'm using windows 7, if that's useful... Please help, I'm in an urgency!

Hi, and WELCOME TO TECHIMO - from the Folding@Home Team [#111]..!
I'm tempted to suggest that if it is important data, that you just restore it from the backup that you will have....but I get the impression that you don't have a backup - which suggests that it shouldn't really be called important data...
I don't know how much of a techie you are, but I hope you had a backup of the data somewhere, as you *might* be out of luck with the flash drive...........but perhaps you could try from another computer to rule out a flaky USB port/controller...
If that doesn't work, then you might need to get in contact with a data recovery company, but that would mean spending big money to get that back - and I don't know any companies in Argentina to point you towards...I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...
