    Thumbs up what backup storage?

i've just built a system and am undecided on the backup storage.
harddrive is maxtor 40gb. purchased NORTON GHOST2002 for imaging. will use removable storage in case of damage to the machine. cd storage seems inadequate for my 40gb harddrve. what your view?
    thanks

I use a second HD or CD ROM for my backups...

If you want to ghost your drive, then you can split the image (during the ghosting process), then after that you can burn the result on CDs ... that way you will save space on your drive, beside CDs are really cheap.

I assume you will partition that drive... right?

I find that most of the space on the hdd is taken by the program itself, which I already have the disk for,so all I need to save is the work, and I find CD's to do a great job for me.
The impossible takes more time, and costs more money.

    Talking cd/rw backup

brainchild i take it that by program you mean the operating system and drivers. i am thinking of storing the windows 2000 pro os and drivers from the harddrive to a cd. this will make restoring easier after a failure. the only partitioning done was by the operating system during installation. this sounds simple. so i may not need to use the NORTON GHOST 2002.
    thanks
