Here's a useful utility for working with various image file formats. It can also convert most formats and do error checking on all but .iso (the .iso format image doesn't support internal error checks) CDmage

I'll go one better on that and tell ya about WinISO. Does everything CDMage does and more, handles ISO, lets you convert any ISO image into any other type, also lets you make your own ISO from scratch, plus has an internal burner. CDMage is also a good choice, however I have had problems using it and don't always reccomend it, a few of my files have come out corrupted when converting. http://www.winiso.com/ |

| Re: What am I doing wrong? Quote: Originally posted by sheepdawg I am using Nero 5.5.9.0, and when I try to burn the .img file, it responds by telling me - "unexpected file format". I know the file is a CloneCD image file, and I have the .CCD and .SUB files to go with it. I would use CloneCD, but it doesn't work on my Pioneer DVR-A03. I would greatly appreciate any assistance that can be given. I have actually tried it with 2 different .img files with no success.
Thanks. | Use Alcohol 120% for it. Alcohol can burn most cd images (iso, bin/cue, nrg, ccd, etc). It can clone cd's to a virtual drive if you don't wanna go thru disc swapping too http://www.alcohol-software.com/

It's been a while since I've burned anything "not so legal", so it was a good refresher for me...thanks for keeping it alive!

clone cd makes that type of files when copying, but if u have the .cue file then just run the .cue through nero and make sure its going to the .img file and it will burn

| How to Burn IMG Files
It's actually pretty easy to burn an IMG file.
Use Dvd Decrypter http://www.dvddecrypter.com/
It's even a free download.
Instructions:
Choose (Mode) > (ISO) > (Write) > Browse for your IMG file > Burn |

YES!!!! 2004, this thread rocks
Kyle, if I have an .img file that I can't burn, I used www.winiso.com to convert it to an .iso and thats easy to burn.
Also Winiso can just unpack the files somewhere for you as an alternative.
