Send a message via ICQ to JohnE.
You could try opening it with CDmage, which has a function to scan for and repair corrupted sectors in some image types. It may not work either but it's worth a shot. I've used it to successfully repair a bin/cue image before. Good luck

ok..im not very good with these things but this is how i do with img or iso files that dont have that cue thing..(and i couldnt make them work with any other programs)

first you create .cue file like said earlier ...then you "load" it with Daemon-Tools and see if you can see your CD in My Computer

if its working then you can just burn it...

if its not then you change MODE1 --> MODE2 and if that didnt help, then 2352 --> to whatever the other # was

.img/.iso do NOT need or have ever used .cue files.
cue is only for bin (cdrwin).

You can mount iso/img/whatever just fine with daemon tools, just click mount image->select all filetypes->select the image you wish to mount.

If it's img file of a dvd, dvddecrypter will burn it. Or any prassi-engine recorder, like veritas recordnow.

Eh? THats not right. Clone cd (.ccd) format offers rip with .cue extension...its on the last page before rip starts. Image then has the .Cue tag which is just info about the img anyhow. This allows it to be read by burning apps other than Clonecd. Like nero alch. 120%, blindwrite, nero, DISC JUGGLER (famous DC one) and others.

Ok:

'img/iso do NOT need or have ever used .cue files'
'cue is for cdrwin and clonecd'

Thanks for the correction

If anybody has both Nero and Daemon Tools installed, it's very simple. All you have to do is mount the .img file using Daemon Tools and make a copy of that with Nero.

DVD Copy will do the trick. It's not the most efficient way to burn .img files, but I use this method whenever Nero can't handle an image (which isn't very often for me).

Image Burn

Even better yet... to burn your image file download Image Burner from
http://www.imgburn.com. Quick download and simple to use. No need to jump through hoops to burn a simple .img file.

Quote from www.imgburn.com "Whilst it appears half the world knew about DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn is still relatively unknown.
If you like what you see, please do recommend it to your friends and family. As it's 100% free, there really is nothing to lose!

If everyone who likes my program donates $2 (or whatever they can afford), I'll be able get more drives working, test with more types of media and add more exciting new features!"

Woohooo 2005 ... thats a 4 year thread I am so proud.

Anyway, yes I use Imgburn myself, and I really like it. So if you liked or used DVD Decrypter, its the way to go.

I still use Nero to make video DVD's or copy CD's, but for burning any kind of image files. IMGburn works well.
