New ghost better than old ghost?

I ask because I have a copy of ghost that came bundled with a soyo mobo that i got 4 years ago but never used it (because I didn't really know what it was for).

Now I still have it, but am wondering if I should use it for back up purposes or if i should try to find a newer version.

Will my older version of ghost do the same job and serve me well?

I think the older version has to be used with a DOS based OS, (win9x/ME) but yes it should serve your needs.

that version of ghot probably doesn't support the ntfs version that xp uses (if you are using xp that is...).

If you are using XP with NTFS then the old Ghost versions will not work. I forget the first versions that do.

Basically, if it works for your situation, I wouldn't bother with an upgrade yet.
