I am considering buying a 120GB hard drive for my Pavilion 8533z.
Would the price of a 120GB hard drive drop to around $60 soon?

I don't think it'll be that low for at least a year, seeing as how they're still selling 40GB drives for about that much after rebate.

Drive makers just cut warantees back to 33% of former durations, (giving buyers the perception of lower overall quality), so purchasers will be a bit more choosy; that and considering that we are in a bad economy, purchasers are becoming price conscious, because they are expecting the worst; who knows which manufacturer will try to start undercutting the others just to liven up their flat sales.
