CD quit burning

Hi Val 48x16x48 quit burning. Says "burn successful" but it won't read what is supposedly on it. Win 98SE 256MB on Fic503+ with a K6 300. I put a Digital Research 52x24x52 in it and it does the same. They will both read discs. Burning with Nero 5.5.8.2. No major changes have been accomplished to cause this. Help?

You didn't by any mean select 'simulation only'?

If you didn't, could you tell us the options you have selected.

I haven't selected anything other that what are the default parameters. It worked today for some reason (the new one). I burned some music and before burning only changed the write speed to match the CDR blank. I also noticed today that while in the "burn" process the light blinked orange instead of green. We have a saying in the military about this sort of thing....it's FM. I have learned to accept that at times. Thanks!
