an 80gb hd, and a little enclosure would be cheaper, and hold 4x as much, so what if its a little bigger

plus, i think a lot of those enclosures are firewire, which i think is faster then usb 2 but im not sure.. so dont hold it against me if im wrong

I have a similar drive produced by iomega. Its an external 80 gig disk with a USB2.0 interface and cost about the same (£150 from a highstreet retailer). Performance is quite good, in theory USB2.0 is actually a little faster than firewire however driver support is not quite as good (atleast under linux). 80 gigs of portable storage can be quite useful and I am quite happy with the purchase, however the model you link to looks rather overpriced for the capacity.
