17C seems pretty good...
whatever it is it has no heating prob
check your motherboard specs... maybe you'll get a clue there.
PS: my HD temp has an average now of 35C.... it went down for some reason... I think it's because my room got cooler. |

17C = 62.6F Unless you keep your house REALLY cold, I'd say that probe isn't hooked up to anything and you're just getting a false reading. I wish I had 17C anywhere inside my case! |

I prefer ActiveSMART.
I had purchased SiGuardian, but they didn't fix a bunch of really obvious bugs for more than 6 months so I had to go buy ActiveSMART ( www.ariolic.com) |

I have 2 IBM 30 GB drives in my case. When they were mounted next to each other, they felt "too hot". So, I separated them. That is, I moved one of them up 1 slot.
Now, they feel much cooler. |

Droppyale, for example the fact that there was no option to make it stop saying "hard drive attributes change, do you want to see them", as well as the option to not show the splash screen not saving.
I'm sure there was more, but I haven't run that program in a few months so I don't recall everything that really annoyed me about it. That stupid splash screen pulled me out of more than one game.. |

doesnt bother me that much, but it would be nice to be able to turn it off...
I can't complain since I didn't pay for it.
ps: borrowed it. |
