I have to reinstall windows now. See HERE for the details that lead up to this.
Now then I have an Adeptic 29160 card and a Atlas11 10k rpm drive I want to install. (Sence I need to reinstall might was well put this in now).
Ok what is involved in doing the setup for the card and drive. I know about changeing the boot from IDE0 to SCSI. I have the latest drivers down loaded for the card. So I need to know how to do this.
Links would be nice also. The ones I have for SCSI don't tell to much about setup on first install.
I will be running Win98 first edition. Computer spec's are in the link.

You no longer need to guess! This free stability scan and registry cleaner download will give you a complete diagnosis of your Windows registry, identifying errors and conflicts.
tsk tsk tsk, all this expensive hardware (adaptec/atlas) and you will suffocate it with an OS incapable of using SCSI anywhere near its capabilities? What a shame.....
Sorry I haven't been back before now. On Sat windows gave up on me not to long after I posted this thread.
Ok I'll give that a try. I wish I would have had access to this thread while my computer was down. I would have installed it then.
Peter M do I need a floopy with the drivers for the card before install or after windows is installed.Or does windows have the drivers for this card?
otheos win2k still has some problems with games. Untill M$ gets a bunch of the bugs worked out of XP and I find the games I play work with no problems. I will stay with 98.
