SATA: need explanation
Ok, right now I have a couple IBM 40gb 7200 rpm ata100 hard drives.
what is the difference between these and the new sata hard drives? is sata worth it? does it compare to scsi at all?

SATA is only worth it in the 10,000rpm flavor. The 7200rpm drivers cant use the bandwith and your out a lot of money for something only as good as your ide drive.

yeah, if anyone has real experience with this that would be great. i dont know how to trust those made by the actual businesses.
