| Hard Drive Size Limitations?
Hello gang!
I need to purchase a new drive, I was thinking about going with the Seagate 120GB 7200rpm EIDE Hard Drive Barracuda (8MB edition) for $99, possibly something something bigger.
Are there any hard drive size limitations that I need to know about, I have a Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra motherboard, using Windows XP Pro. I already have 3 hard drives, 2 x 60GB, 1 x 20GB.
Thanks!
Mike

I'm surprised at you Martoch. You didn't see this from your link? It was only four (4) clicks away.
Tsk, tsk. |

Yet again, Rick, I'm embarrassed...
So, is that 200GB total or per hard drive...you ClickMaster!
Thanks for clarifying that four = 4, I was trying to figure that one out... |

It's per HDD. The IDE connectors can only translate 200GB's per channel. You could have upto eight (8), 200GB HDD's on that board. |

Just a quick question martoch. What the heck would you need a 200gb hdd for? Little overkill? Or just reducing the "amount" of hdd's in your system? Just curious Oh, and if you wanna sell off your old drives to fund the new ones..LMK! I always need hdd's.

I'm not selling my other drives, nothing wrong with having over 300GB in my system, right? |
