Are you using all the default settings for burning data CD's?

there are some settings you need to check.. sometimes the burning program will do a test before it burns, and an after check,...
Make sure it's just burning that's it. |

Exactly! That's the problem!
Everything was fine. I don't know where the problem came from!
TOAD6147> I do still use default settings!
GroundZero3> Of course, I have! I tried both 5x and 6 (the latest one) versions of Nero!
Droppyale> I think Nero doesn't check anything in my case. Burned CD-s are OK (but too hot :-))
PEOPLE! I think there may be two problems: it is either my BURNER (hope it is not) or it is my WInXP
your suggestions? thanks! |

I am going to try my CD-RW by my friend. If the problem remains then it's the CD DRIVE that causes all problems!!!
BY THE WAY I tried to continue multisession disk (added a file about 40mb to a compilation) and then burned one CD
- everything went fine!!!
Why? |

With most burning sofware, you have the option to burn on the fly.
Depending on the software the term is alittle different.
With Roxio, you have 3 options:
test (no burn just checks integrity)
test and burn (check integrity - then burns) - slower
burn (just burns - no check) - fastest
Since Nero atomatically burns on-the-fly
Try dropping your burn speed to 24 (since burners rairly burn at max speed), go to your "burn tab" in preferences and uncheck everything but "write".
See how this works. Hope it helps |

Hello EVERYONE!!
I've fixed the problem!
I tried everything: DMA, Defrag, other burning soft, different config...
nothing helped
So, I formated!! my HDD, reinstalled XP + Nero 6, and tried to burn a CD...
Everything went fine!
Amazing. But it's a pity that I don't know what was really the problem.
Something with BUFFER UNDERRUN.
I still think it was WinXP and maybe the new patch I installed from microsoft.com
THANKS everyone for help!
Best regards, Yorky |
