Recover data from laptop hard drive

How do I go about doing that? I don't see where I can slave it on a laptop. Is there some kind of adapter I can use to slave the drive to a desktop PC?

Yeah actually there is. It's a laptop to IDE hard drive adapter. I have one and it works awesome. Here's the link
