similar threads blog-useless and annoying
This does nothing more then dig up old tired threads. For instance the most recent I saw refrenced was over 6 months ago. And the others over 2 years ago. If one wants to find relevant threads, use search. But this, just makes old threads resurface over and over again.

click the little button in the upper right corner of the similar threads bar.

As to removing the similar thread box, it is far from being useless. It increases page relevancy, thus increasing our rank at various search engines.

they're useful for reference sometimes
somebody posts something for the 1x10^23 time, we can reply with posts from that box so we don thave to type it all out again.
I've done this several times.Helicopters don't fly; they vibrate so much and make so much noise that the earth rejects them.
