TechIMO Signature Policy Update
Considering I am tired of seeing broken signatures, I have updated the signature guidelines. A subset of vB codes is now supported, including the all import [URL] tag that most people want. However, take note that images are still not supported, nor probably ever will be. Also note that any signature found using text formatting larger than the default forum text font will be deleted without notice.
Additionally, I ask that everyone currently using a signature to please verify his or her signature is properly formatted and to use the [URL] tag to clean up existing text links.
Best Regards,

Cool I guess, but I don't have sigs enabled so it's not going to matter to me much.
Thanks though.
Cute

Why am I seeing so many peoples' signitures that are about 10 lines tall with white-space and only 2 lines of content? Wastes alot of space.

because the message itself isn't long enough to stretch out the post vertically beyond the minimum post cell size.

August 25th, 2005, 01:58 AM #13I haven't seen any intentionally misformatted signatures. I assume you are referring to the default vB3 format. The text table cell (reply) at minimum length is equal to the author table cell (username, avatar, location, etc.), thus it appears like there is blank space below the signature in the text table. Why am I seeing so many peoples' signitures that are about 10 lines tall with white-space and only 2 lines of content? Wastes alot of space.

ic, I guess ive never really payed much attention to it until this thread which has a number of one line replies. Seems strange that it would stretch the signiture rather than the reply area, but so-be-it.
Thanks.

I have updated our signature policy. In an effort to reduce some page clutter, a member's signature is now shown once per thread page instead of being shown for every post.
