New signature rules not a week old...
and this place is already starting to look like crap. Had the misfortune to log onto this place from another computer without logging in and, yeah, crap.
See this thread for example:
Signatures 6 lines deep... and another in blatant violation of the rules that were spelled out.
What does it matter to me? Not much... I am logged in and they are disabled 99% of the time. But I have come across many a forum that I never went back to because of all the clutter and crap that comes along with the sigs.
Now maybe there are people who would never come back because sigs were disabled. But I doubt it. I do know that the lack of sigs can't make a forum any crappier.

I hate when people put a thousand links in their sig, but I like when they post personal comments, quotes, etc, and their system configs especially, after all, this is a tech forum...
I say this forum is pretty good about sigs, people who want to use them can use them and people who want to view them can view them

I'm at ease with mine.
The final legacy of the United States will be that in the end liberalism shamed & destroyed the heritage of this great nation. How sad as I see no turning back. When in Rome ..
