Thread creation date
I don't know if it annoys anyone else to start reading a thread at the top of the list just to realize it is two years old. I'd like to see the thread start date included with the thread starter's name under the thread's title. That way if you saw that it was two years old you could ignore it altogether or click on it if you wanted. Any other ideas?

I guess this is what you would like to see?

Might be cool if the the dates on the posts all turned red after a few months or something

I have to agree with Martoch. Besides, what does it really matter if you reply to an old thread? If the topic interests you, then I am sure it probably interest someone else as well.

Sure, I look at old threads from time to time...but it really doesn't bother me to reply to ancient topics.

Ok, never mind! I withdraw my suggestion. I'll just have to me more diligent in looking at the first date in the thread from now on.

I don't think that's a bad idea. I don't think it would be that hard to do either, knowing what little I know about scripting. Mostly just a matter of adding another variable call to the output string for that line. Although I have no idea how many places it would have to be added.

My original comment still applies, but this might be something I could do with a quick template edit. Not sure, so I am promising nothing at this point, but I will take a look when I have some free time.

Maybe just make the date stick out a little by bolding it? (a compromise solution)

Hi.. New here, but I agree that a "thread creation date".. preferably that turned red when it gets really old, would be a great idea.
I've been browsing around the graphics and webmastering area, and I keep seeing threads where someone having problems or making a request, and some nice soul replys back an spends some time with the request without realizing how old the thread is, and that the request may no longer be valid.
I only have one example at hand, and it's only from November, but I'm not in the mood to dumpster dive to find the year old one I read pages of before realizing the age when I first registerred here.

a bold red date if the last reply is more then say 3 months old is a great idea.

Oh man... I just realized that this thread is from 2006...
Oh, wait... It is 2006. Bummer, being from the future and all.Intel Core i7-860 OCed to 4.0GHz | ASUS P7P55D-E | G.Skill 8192MB (4x2048MB) RAM | MSI GTX 280 | 2x Seagate 160GB 7200.11 RAID 0

Scott has implemented a feature to list the creation date of threads.

Personally, I find them a little bit distracting. That may be just me though

I like it... it doesn't necessarily need the time.. just day and year would be enough... but much better than before.

I like it too, and the time serves the purpose of showing who has too much free time on their hands by making multiple new threads all of a sudden
