    well here is a little problem i noticed why can't a member delete there own post or am i just a idiot on some other forums i belong to you can simply delete your post almost as easily as editing it....

    just my 2 cents

    No, you cannot delete your post from the thread, once you make the post, a moderator has to delete it. All you can do is edit it.

    dont post anything stupid that is what the preview button is for

    also, for tech problems, even if it is a simple problem, they like to keep the threads there in hopes to help other people (although people sometimes have a hard time grasping the search feature...)

    There would be no continuity, you would constantly have threads appearing and disappearing, sounds like a nightmare scenario

    There are good reasons for not allowing members to remove their own posts. Edit, yes, but not remove. Mods only can remove. All posts then remain available foir mods to access if necessary (eg for demafation reasons or something). Also, deleting threads after they have had replies has the same issues.

    I believe it's a forum policy here.

    The reason for this has already been given but it is to make the mods life easier and for continuity. We know that if there is a post there you posted something. People cant post offensive stuff and then wipe away all the evidence and such.
